Become a Street Fighter!
ok ok, so you don't really star in an upcoming street fighter movie or anything like that. Basically as a promo, you can upload a photo, and customise yourself as one of the street fighter main characters. male or female.

MJ
So everyone has some kind of Micheal Jackson thing going on. Just shows how popular of an artist he was. I had decided not to blog about his death, but here is my little page tribute to MJ.. 2 segments I found on youtube from Captain EO. Captain EO was a 3D film in disneylands tomorrow land. Since MJ's death, I wonder if we'll see disneyland running it one more time. It's interesting to note that even though this movie looks verrryyy old, it was one of the most costly ones made at the time for it's short length. I think I had seen these before, but I'm not to sure on that since the movie is as old as I am.... it came out in 1986.

Benefits of Technology
My idea for this post, came from a discussion that I had in class last night. Basically, my class was Speech 125 Business Communication. The main consensus that came out of our discussion was that technology is hindering everyones communicative abilities, and is ever increasing in the work force. A couple of similar, but different examples stated two friends who always texted each other non-stop, had difficulties speaking to one another face to face. I can understand why people can find fault in that, but I can argue as to why that is.
So why do the 2 text buddies have so much to talk about, but then lock up when meeting face to face. Well I bet that just like any good relationship or friendship, it takes time. At first both parties are nervous, and the more talkative one may engage the conversation. "But they talk so much when texting," you may say. Well all I have to say about that, is that they have the security of feeling anonymous with that person they are texting. You are more likely to divulge information, and even talk right off the bat, when you feel that the other person doesn't know you. Even over time, you put your own face or voice to the person you are texting. So when you meet this person in real life finally, it's like meeting a completely new person, even though you may already know a lot about them. It's like knowing 2 of the same person. If given time, they'll form a friendship face to face style, like everyone else out there.
So how about the benefits of technology. Technology fades the barriers of age, gender, and race. Take my game for example, we have many people in my guild from all over the world working together to accomplish certain tasks. When we meet in game for the first time, we don't judge each other by appearances, we judge each other by accomplishments. Someone may have a certain gear, which means they have made it through certain bosses or events. You also have titles given for certain accomplishments. There is no room to form an opinion about another player when you first meet them, based off of age, sex, or race. Your opinion is or factual, and not biased. We also have 17 year olds, and 50 year olds working harmoniously. When do you see that happening? This is because when you see that person, you see their name and not their age. That 17 yr and that 50 yr, could easily work together and lean on each other.
We are starting to see more female gamers, thankfully. I must admit that I'm guilty of searching out the character whose female voice belongs to. But even before you here the player speak, you see that persons character and that characters accomplishments. You also see how well they are performing. You can figure out that the person is actually a girl once you get to know them better. You just wont be able to attach negative connotations to them right off the bat.
What if you hate germans, and you have this one really good friend in game that you've never heard speak. He's german, but you've become such great friends, because you weren't allowed to kill the relationship right in the beginning.
So with this post I wanted to make a statement that technology allows for an equal ground for everyone, where you are judged on what you can do, and not who you are.
I would also like to note that this doesn't just apply to games, but to life and work as well. You may find that the person who has been very professional to you, is not who you imagined at all.
Instead of barring tech. I say people should embrace it, and grow as a whole. that sounded so hippie ish lol

A love for anime??
So this weekend, I went out with this one girl and her brother, whom both happen to be big anime fans. It was refreshing to sit down and just listen to someone talk with a true passion for it. Most of the people that I talked to about it, are off doing there own thing, or totally busy with school or work. I think this is why even I haven't watched to much lately.
Without anyone else to feed some fuel to that fire, I fell into the groove I was in for over a year. This consisted of 3 things...work, school, and world of warcraft. Work and school I can't change, those will always take like 50% of my time. As for WoW, I wish I could spend more time in it, but maybe I should work on squeezing some anime time into the mix. Get me out of the same old norm. Plus, I need to hop onto the console some more. I'm afraid to say that my skills have become very rusty and distasteful.
well anyways, I put a pick from code geass above, because I have been watching it lately. A friend recommended it to me, and he has yet to let me down on his anime choices. I can see why he liked it though, with the main character moving his army around as if they were pieces on a chess board. FYI, my friend has taking a big liking to chess recently. So I'm sure you get it. The anime itself can't replace any of the bigger mecha series out there, but it has it's merits that make it worth the watch.
I currently find myself liking the heroin Suzaku who fights with his life on the line to protect others. Unlike the main character Lelouch, who I think will sacrifice people like chess pieces, to obtain what he wants. Currently the two are best friends, on opposite sides. They find themselves constantly pitted against each other, but don't know whom the other really is.
