Lake Siskiyou

So last sunday I went up to Weed CA to visit my grandparents. After meeting up, we all went out to Lake Siskiyou, which is pictured above. As you can see, it's very beautiful out there and lots to do! They have inflatable barriers set up closer to shore, to create a play area for the really young kids. For the other kids, there are inflatable walls to climb, and bouncy things out in the water. To go on those you have to have a life jacket, or your SOL. They also do canoe and paddle boat rentals. The drive can be good for most, and bad for some. It's only 5 mins off the highway, so for those hoping for a fun drive wont get one.

I wouldn't mind going there more often, to bad it's 4 hours away from where I live XD

This is so crazy, your grandparents are from Weed, CA?? My papa John (Alessio) was from Weed. I wonder if they knew each other? Small world.

That's really cool ^_^ . My grandparents haven't been there for to long, I think like 4-5 years but that's really estimating. They originally lived in Rodeo.

Wow, sounds like a lot of fun!! I recently went conoeing and flipped over twice. It wasn't my fault the waves kept getting in my way! =)

maggie- haha that sounds like it would be fun, even if you flip over. I once went canoeing in Monterey. the water wasn't so choppy, but it was still a lot of fun.

I haven't been to the beach, or anything like it.. all this Summer. I am taking a break in a couple of weeks and hitting up the 'beach' at Mandalay Bay.. with its wave-pool, sand and bikinis everywhere.. that'll have to do! Gotta get home to Cali soon tho !
