Brotherhood

   I finally started watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.  I loved the “original” anime and it was hard for me to want to watch a totally different retailing, despite the fact that it’s more true to the manga.  I’ve been stuck on this intro for the series and love the guitar riffs.

Clannad=Greatest Anime Ever!

This is an anime series that I recently finished watching, and I have to say that it was amazing. This is by far one of my top favorites, and one I wouldn't mind watching again. I found the above video on youtube, and mad props to the poster, cuz those are some of the best songs off the OST. This is on my to buy list.. although only the first season is out on DVD. You would have to watch fansubs to see the second season. It's to bad that there is no english manga for this out. Oh and fair warning, this will probably be one of the saddest animes you have ever seen. So if you cry, don't say I didn't warn you ;)

Anime pic of the week!

So it's friday! That generally means two different things, anime pic of the week, and weekend plans. Although I have no plans for the weekend really, except that there are two movie out that I want to see.

so this first pic here, i thought it was cute and the color edits were done on my iphone.



I am posting a second image, because I forgot to upload an anime pic last week. you can thank the holiday for that. This one is from Code Geass, an anime that I just finished the first season for. Currently contemplating the second season. This pic brings hope that these two characters just might get together, or at least i hope they do.

Anime, How it all Started

To get into anime, I think you have to know someone who is into it, so they can get you started. I had watched anime when I was younger: DBZ, Gundam 0082, Outlaw Star, and Cowboy Bebop. However at the time, I wasn't an anime fan just yet. It took meeting one of my best friends in HS, who was also into anime. He had a lot of disks of his own, as well as his brothers. I ended up borrowing three episodes that pulled me into the world of the otaku. These 3 eps were Love Hina Again. They were the end of a long series, and after watching them, I had to see the rest of it.

Love Hina isn't for the timid either. At the time, all of the echie in it made me go OMG, cool. LoL. Now echie doesn't bother me. Panty shots, skimpy clothes, it's all part of the deal.

After Love Hina, I believe the next anime series I watched was Fushigi Yugi. My girlfriend at the time was a big fan of it, and let me borrow all of her disks. Needless to say, I would stay up all night watching the episodes back to back.

It was around this time that I started watching one of my most fav. animes ever, Initial D. Some car fans don't like calling it anime, but it is. It also helped that my gf was into it as well, so we would watch eps together and get into big discussions on racing mechanics, and different drama going on in the anime.

Now, I have gotten my sister into anime. I pulled her in using D-greyman, and vampire rosario. What started out being anime nights together, turned into me getting home and her recommending a whole slew of different animes that she has seen as well as where to see them. Now my sister wants to hit up anicons, and dress up.

So my recommendation, sit down with a friend, and prepare for a night of some good anime.

Anime Bed Sheets

So I found this image in google images, that links back to sanrio blogger. I have to say, I think these are actually a little cool. I wouldn't say I'm sexually interested in them at all, but more so that I'm an anime fan and that these are cute. They have full body length pillows, with images, as well. I wouldn't mind owning a pair of sheets like these, just to satisfy the anime fan in me. Although I don't think I'd put them on my bed, cuz at the same time this is something I look at and think that these would only be seen on a girls bed. I can't have that! haha

So I was cleaning my room today.. yeah yeah ik.. finally.. and i stumbled upon and old folder of mine with all of my old artwork. I had brought it to my moms when I moved out of my dads.. and it's been sitting at the bottom of a drawer since. Not to be conceded or anything... but i think that a lot of my old drawings were very good. I remember when i first started drawing, and it's all because of monster rancher! LoL.. i dunno if any of u remember that anime wayy back when.. but i used to really love that anime. It was part of my morning routine.. so you can imagine my dismay when they moved the time to a later time of the day. Being the resource kid i was, i went and bought a bunch of recordable VHS tapes.. you know kids. the stuff that existed before dvd's. and i set up my VCR to record my shows while i was away in school. I would watch the tapes when I got home from class.. and all chores done.

So the drawing really started out of no where. I was just sitting there watching one of the episodes. when i was like omg! i really like the look on holly's face. After that i had a love afair with that little character. Every time i would watch the show, i'd wait for the most perfect scene, and then pause the tape. Then i'd draw a perfect depiction of the scene off my tv. you may think that's cheating cuz i wasn't coming up with the scene on my own, but it was these scenes that inspired me to draw them. This was inherited to other animes.. and i would look for the best signs of emotions to draw. little hint.. dragonball z was the worst. Ik a lot of guys liked to draw it, but they never had any emotion in their eyes. well one day i couldn't push myself to draw. I went out side and drew a very nice pic of a flower,.. but that was a i had left in me. i never felt the drive to do draw anything again.. and when i did, i never had the patience. now drawing has become one of those things that it's to bad i never per sued.

so now i ask you.. whoever you may be reading this.. what did u used to do .. that for some reason or other, you couldn't anymore, even though u wanted to?
